The Pause Apps · ContactWipe

Privacy Policy

How the iPhone app handles your information.

This policy applies to the ContactWipe iPhone app published by hongliang xiong.

Contacts permission and processing

ContactWipe reads contacts only after you grant iOS permission. It checks phone numbers and email addresses on your device to show possible duplicates; names alone do not create a match. The app does not upload your contacts or run a cloud contact service. You can change access in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts.

Changes you approve

ContactWipe changes contacts only after you select a contact to keep and confirm a merge. It may copy supported missing information to that contact and remove duplicate entries through the iOS Contacts framework. Your chosen Contacts account, such as iCloud, may sync those changes under its own settings. ContactWipe cannot automatically undo a completed merge; back up important contacts before merging.

Optional file access

The Pro large-file finder can inspect a folder you choose through Files to show file sizes on your device. It does not upload those files. Selecting a folder is optional and separate from contact scanning.

Purchases and information we receive

ContactWipe does not require an account and contains no advertising, analytics SDK, or network client for contact data. Optional Pro purchases and entitlement checks use Apple StoreKit. Apple handles payment information; we do not receive payment card details through the app. App settings and the successful free-merge counter are stored on your device. A minimal allowance counter may also be stored in the secure device Keychain. It contains no contact names, numbers, emails, files, or account credentials and is not synced by ContactWipe. We do not sell contact or file data.

Support messages, retention, and choices

If you email us, we receive the email address and information you choose to include. We use it to answer your request and retain correspondence only while needed for support or applicable obligations. Request deletion of support correspondence at xionghongliang1@gmail.com. Revoking Contacts permission stops future app access; uninstalling removes the app’s local files, but a minimal allowance counter may remain in the device Keychain. Uninstalling does not reverse changes already saved to Contacts.

Updates and contact
